Call us or, alternatively, email us. Or, once we have provided you with a quote via the telephone or via the online quotation form, drop off your device in person at our South Gyle drop-off centre, with no appointment needed. We are open from 9am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday. Every route reaches our Edinburgh engineers (never a switchboard), who will then recover your data. A fixed, transparent price in writing for what is needed will be given to you in advance of any charges.
There is no courier collection service, and in practice you won't need one. Get a quote first (by telephone or with the form on our website), then take whichever of the two options best suits you, and as soon as your device arrives at our premises we will send you an email to confirm its arrival.
First get a quote either over the telephone or with our online quote request form, and then simply take your device to 4 Redheughs Rigg Westpoint, South Gyle, Edinburgh, EH12 9DQ, Monday to Friday from 9am to 5:30pm, with no appointment needed. Include your name, your full postal address, contact telephone number and email address for us to be able to contact you. Please also print out and fill in the shipping form shown below (if possible) and insert this into your packaging; alternatively, please write these details clearly onto a piece of paper. Once we have completed diagnostic testing on your device, we will contact you via either a phone call or email to report back the findings.
First, contact our office to obtain a quote, either via a phone call or using the online request form. Second, once you have obtained the quote, you can post the item to our facility using a tracked and fully insured service. Pack the item as carefully as possible, along with your personal contact information (name, postal address, telephone number, email). We will handle all other aspects of this process. Upon completion of diagnostic testing, we will notify you of the test results.
Let us know what went down and what you'd like restored, and generally speaking, you will hear back from us within an hour during normal business hours.
We'll be back in touch shortly. If it's urgent, call 0131 202 0491.
We use an instant quote system so that you can get your price estimate in just a few seconds, or alternatively, if you would like to discuss your requirements prior to getting an estimate, then please feel free to call us. Either way, the costs are always shown to you before any work commences. If you'd like, you can also see exactly how the process works first.
Westpoint, South Gyle, EH12 9DQ: first contact us via phone or our quote form to get a quote. Then just drop off your drive at our premises at any time Monday to Friday, from 9am to 5:30pm. No appointment is needed. Alternatively, you can send it to us via a tracked postal service.
No. Just walk in at any time between 9am and 5:30pm, Monday to Friday, with no appointment needed; however, please get a quote first, either using our online quote form or by calling us, so we're ready for you. If you are bringing in data to be recovered as part of a RAID recovery job or server recovery job, remove the disks from the server or enclosure and deliver only the disks. Each disk should be clearly labelled with its respective bay number (1, 2, 3…). A heads-up on this will help us prepare the intake of your media.
Yes, with two precautions. Thousands of drives are shipped to us this way. The first precaution is to pack the hard drive so that it cannot move around inside the shipping box. The second precaution, once you have a quote by phone or with the form, is to use a tracked service when sending your hard drive for evaluation and to insure the contents of the package against loss or damage. A drive that has already failed isn't made worse by a normal journey, but it is made worse by being powered on.
We do not offer pickup services, and that is one reason our pricing stays honest. We use insured postage and drop-off for all cases we handle, racked servers included: get a quote first, online or by calling in advance, then remove the hard drives from your server, label each disk drive with its bay number (1, 2, 3…), and post the disks to us insured or bring them in; there is no need to make an appointment.
