The decode: the vanished scan, the RAW turn, and the honest meaning of "stuck at 1GB"

The scan with nowhere to land: a deep scan's output is a map, not a rescue — the files exist as promises until they're copied to another drive, and closing the session discards the map. What changed between attempts: two suspects, likely accomplices.
