This eleventh volume opens a new chapter of the library. Fifty more real recoveries — cases 501 to 550 — beginning among the portable drives of every postbag (the clickers, the beepers, the drives that stopped after a drop) and travelling through corrupted cards and silent monoliths, solid state's warningless failures, the Mac ecosystem's famous symbols and proprietary blades, network appliances that speak Linux, an array that ran a year without its safety net, and the honest-limits cases where encryption is answered with candour rather than promises. Every case below is a genuine enquiry, its details generalised to protect the people behind it, its lesson left intact for the next person to face the same failure.
